Between The Lions - Mr. Lentz's favorite show for Kindergarteners
Between The Lions
http://pbskids.org/lions/
The award-winning Between the Lions Web site offers tons of expert-approved games, stories, video clips, and activities—all aimed at reinforcing the literacy mission of the series.
The games focus on a variety of educational areas, as do the video clips, which are taken from the shows. The stories—featuring everything from new books to old folk tales to original and classic yarns—introduce kids to a wide variety of storytelling methods and subject matters. Accompanying each story is a story-specific game to extend either the vocabulary or phonics found in the story itself.
The site—with its simple, audio-enhanced navigation—is designed to be navigated and enjoyed by young kids on their own. Of course, kids visiting the site with adults will benefit from that, too, as it's always fun to travel (and Web surf) with a friend.
This site has two main areas: the Kids area and a Parents & Teachers section, which houses lots of information about the program and the Web site. An area of special note is Lions To Go, featuring free downloadable songs, stories, and more.

Starfall.com
http://www.starfall.com/
Teachers around the world use Starfall.com and Starfall high-quality educational products as an inexpensive way to make the classroom more fun and inspire a love of reading and writing. Parents use Starfall to prepare their children for school, and to support them once they are there. Starfall is an educational alternative to other entertainment choices for children.
Primarily designed for first grade, Starfall is also useful for pre-kindergarten, kindergarten and second grade. Be sure to visit The Starfall Store for low-cost writing journals and books that parallel this website.
The Starfall reading program is designed to be fun, exciting, and to instill confidence in young children as they learn to read. The website and companion printed materials are clear and effective tools to help you implement proven teaching methods. Our website was created by carefully observing the way children learn using a computer. The Starfall Website is easy for students to navigate independently, but it is not intended as a surrogate for the teacher. Our scientific, research-based reading materials and activities are modeled on the "Big Five" focus areas recommended by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development: phonemic awareness, systematic phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. We built-in a sixth we'd prefer not be overlooked—Motivation!
Curious George - Wonderful new show on PBS, Channel 13
Curious George
http://pbskids.org/curiousgeorge/
The CURIOUS GEORGE Web site is the online companion to the television series airing daily on PBS Kids. The site targets kids ages four and five, though many of its activities and resources can be used with kids who are younger and older. Like the show, the goal of the Web site is to inspire children to explore science, engineering, and math in the world around them.
On the site, Curious George, the Man with the Yellow Hat, and all their friends bring you and your child engaging online games that extend the series curriculum. While many features are designed to promote independent play, parents and kids can (and should) make time spent on the site a shared experience. The site also boasts a wealth of useful information and resources for educators and caregivers.

Kindersite
Kindersite
http://www.kindersite.org/
The web site will offer early learners, with the aid of care-givers, a tool to find and use content in the form of games, songs and stories (not necessarily educationally focused). It will be possible through a graphical interface (under construction), for the child, alone or with assistance, to select content. The content that is found to be most engaging or requested by a child can be added to a personal list, via an updateable 'My page' mechanism.
It will also be possible for caregivers to build a 'my page' for a child with recommendations or required games. Taking this area further, it will be possible to build school based 'my pages' that could pyramid down to individual classes within the school and then to individual children within the class, the recommended content controlled by the teacher/caregiver.
